Sorry to be a bit of a downer here but I just want to chime in a ask people to take a second and re-think the idea drinking in the parking lot before the Herm/HPB opens. It is important to remember this isn't some industrial park that HPB is located in. There are literally houses behind the brewery and the parking lot is not particularly private from a very main street in the neighborhood. And you are talking about 11 am on a weekday. To me, drinking a number of very high alcohol beers on their property before they are open is irresponsible and inconsiderate to HPB and the Herm. I don't know if you have specifically talked to Bob or Ross about this (and forgive me if you did and have permission) but it was my understanding that they have been hesitant to re-use that parking lot space for drinking since Woodshop (3 years ago?) because of the issues I mentioned above.

I'm fairly certain the pre-opening bottle share discussion was sarcastic and a joke. Maybe I misread that, but yeah...

BT Vertical in a parking lot at 11A? Come on meow...

It certainly crossed my mind that it could have been meant as a joke, but whether that was the intention or not, it is the sort of comment that could be taken out of context by someone and lead to some unfortunate behavior. I am not try to police anyone here, just putting my opinion out there that drinking outside of a business in a residential neighborhood in the AM on a weekday probably isn't the best way to treat one of our favorite brewery/bars (and the people that run it).

It was a joke for sure. The conversation turned from meeting at HP on Friday, to everyone going at noon, to everyone bringing bottles and the kegs kicking by 5pm. A BT vertical in the parking lot was the perfect joke to over blow the situation. In any case, there would need to be some type of conversation among members for a vertical to actually happen.

By the way, who's bringing the BT '11?:grimacing:

To be fair, I wouldn't be surprised if there was a BT vertical parking lot share on Friday at 11am at The Herm.

I'm not going to lie, if I wasn't working, I would entertain the idea of an am BT vertical (though I would probably end up in lock up). But no, I would never do anything to upset HPB/Herm and/or risk getting banned for life

Enjoy the share. Wish I could go. Will be there later in the evening. Hope BA Satin doesn't kick before I come.

Ross here. Because the discussion went this way, I'll clarify. Bottle sharing seems to have become a release day tradition, which we are fine with, but let's please keep it within reason and contained (at the communal table, say).
Parking lot is a no no, unless you're petting our cats or going to/from your car.

The parking lot is only reserved for IP trades with strangers on the internet. Thanks for clarifying Ross, excited about Lazier Susan.
