Got it man thanks a bunch!
Yes got my 18 gjg bottles with my friends neighbors grandparents!
Sold out of GJG already! good job Bob and the crew!
I was able to order mine while waiting to pick up my bottles of Hawaiian speedway, on my way to pick up Devils teeth and monsters park rye. Headed to pick up my monkish bottles now
I hope something else is releasing soon. I'm starting to get concerned that I might not have enough beer
still 1 GJG left.
Edit: All gone now.
Awesome. It's a great beer. But so is Neighborhood!
Yeah, and I hear that coffee in there is, like, sort of, a'ight too. Whatever his name is that roast that stuff.
Was that the quickest sell out for HPB??
If so, expect it to get quicker and quicker as their name gets out
Raised Eyebrow B1 lasted... maybe 40 minutes at best. This will be their second fastest seller.
I think initial sellout of Raised Eyebrows happened in less than 10 minutes and individual bottles popped up until 12:40pm.
^^ yeah. I'm actually really surprised this didn't sell out as quickly
For me GJG is the most coffee forward beer I've ever had. I think even more than BCBCS. In a good way. Maybe because it's still so fresh
Will be stoked to try the bourbon barrel version
GJG batch 1 tasting glorious still.
glad i got a bottle of this. i havent had it yet, but hows the mouthfeel on this beer?
high acid, so you get that almost minerality texture on your tongue. Then it goes down smooth as it's not heavy at all (definitely not thin)
what he said.
i was going to say it's "thick"
I know it's not as sexy as GJG but the latest batch of Wake Up! should be going on tonight or tomorrow night at the Herm.
Not until a release I'd think. I didn't ask. Maybe for GJG and Neighborhood pickups?
nice, cant wait to try it. Mouthfeel is a big thing i look for in a stout. thin mouthfeel can really kill it for me. but over the top, underattenuated can destroy it, too. Im glad everyone is enjoying it going to try it this Thursday.
I feel like the extra couple percentage points of ABV really helped the body of this batch of GJG. It's just thick, rich, velvety goodness.
anything cool on tap for pick up day?
Last year's GJG to compare to this year's. Wake Up on tap tasting great.
Somehow ended up with 8 bottles of GJG. My link worked on Friday, then I received an email saying the link was no good, so I bought 3 on Saturday, and then picked up all 8 of them today. Hopefully these will ease the pain of the Parabajava clusterfuck.
I thknk a Rare could take away some of my Parabajava pain
It did for me... Haha. Paraba what? Who?
Parabajava clusterfuck? Not in Paso Robles. I got there about 90 minutes before the release and picked my allotment easily-peasily, about a half-hour wait once the doors opened.
Looking forward to picking up my GJG and doing a side-by-side with Parabajava.
I hope I have a chance to.
Picked up my bottles on Saturday afternoon. Got a bunch of different tasters of stuff. New batch of Gjg is awesome. Good job hpb and @the_trystero .
I'm a hardcore hpb fanboy, but I think a parabajava v gjg batch 2 might be a one sided fight. Tho I hope I'm proven wrong.
Why don't we wait until BA GJG before we start comparing it with BA coffee stouts...?
This list is missing Nebraska, not sure where it would fall in order but wanna say between uncontrollable and spazz.
He fixed that a couple of post later...
Yeah why would we be comparing this to Parabajava?
