Pours a slightly unfiltered looking pineapple color with a fluffy white head that laces the glass nicely. Beautiful WCIPA. The nose is rife with dank citrus notes, primarily ripe tangerine and passion fruit, and a nice bit of berry aromas.

The berry notes are more pronounced on the taste, and provide a delicious complement to the dank citrus flavors that reside mid-palate to the crushingly dry finish.

This is a perfect example of my deep appreciation for the WCIPA style. The best compliment I can pay to a highly drinkable beer is that it is “beer bongable.”

This beer is definitely beer bongable, IMHO.

Very good combination of sweet berry and bitter citrus pith, along with pine resin. Bitterness arrives late and continues in the aftertaste. Very dry, almost extreme, finish. Could use more clarity, but this is what is expected but not required.

Beer #4 for me. Citra's probably my favorite hop, mosaic here added some fruitiness but wasn't overly sweet or fruity. This beer still had enough bitterness for me.

I had the "Eyes To The Sky" first which was rather dank for me thinking WCIPA is quite dry and bitter. The "Hello LA" was also a bit dank. Wasn't really a huge fan of either thinking I was getting WCIPAs. They were nice to try but not what I would buy again.

A: Pours a clear medium straw yellow in color with moderate amounts of active visible carbonation rising quickly from the bottom of the glass and moderate bright yellow + pale yellow + pale lemon yellow colored highlights. The beer has a three finger tall sudsy foamy bright white head that quickly reduces to a handful of small to medium sized patches of medium thick film surrounded by a large patch of slightly mottled thin film covering the remainder of the surface of the beer and a medium thick ring at the edges of the glass. Moderate amounts of lacing are observed.

S: Moderate to strong aromas of citrus/grapefruit + citrus/tangerine + citrus/grapefruit pith + berry + tropical/passionfruit + pine hops over the top of light aromas of biscuit + very lightly toasted + grainy malts with a light amount of grainy sweetness.

T: Upfront there are light flavors of biscuit + very lightly toasted + grainy malts with a light amount of grainy sweetness. That is followed by moderate to strong flavors of citrus/grapefruit + citrus/tangerine + citrus/grapefruit pith + berry + tropical/passionfruit + pine hops which impart a light amount of lingering bitterness.

M: Just shy of medium bodied with moderate amounts of carbonation. Slightly crisp initially with a light to moderate amount of dryness in the finish.

O: Easy to drink with well hidden alcohol and a pleasantly dry (and lightly crisp) mouthfeel. Enjoyable with a slightly different than classic West Coast IPA hop profile but very well done. Lots of complexity and a hint of darkness with the tropical/passionfruit + berry and the citrus.

Appearance (Look) – Golden with a bit of haze. Soapy white head. (not my best pour)
Aroma (Smell) – Lemon and then funky and musty. Maybe some rubbery heat.
Taste – Nice strong pithy lemon taste. Pine comes through too. Refreshing.
Mouthfeel (Feel) – Medium body. Bubbly.
Overall – Nice. It’s bitter but doesn’t linger too long.
