I suspect 46 people looked thinking you were asking about highland brewing company and have no clue where highland Nc is..That's the case for me

That's a good point. I didn't even think of that. Title fail.

    I would say 45.

Highlands is an absolutely gorgeous part of the state. However it's been so long since I've been up there that i really can't recommend any places. The only thing i do remember is the amount of waterfalls around. And im sure right now theyd be frozen which is a site to see. But with respect to restaurants/bars with a craft scene, im afraid i dont know of any.

Been there many times. Two options for beer stores off the top of my head. There's a beer/wine store right at the main intersection downtown with a decent selection. I've found some limited Founders and Bells sixers there in the past but honestly their selection has gotten worse over the last 3 years. There's a grocery store at one end of the main drag that has a good selection of craft options. That's been my "go to" lately. Sorry that I don't know names but its a small enough town that finding these spots won't be a problem. If you're looking for a top notch restaurant, I had my engagement dinner at Paoletti's and it's excellent.

Yeah, I saw Paoletti's. We're definitely going there.
    Thanks for the feedback!

Sapphire valley brewpub is open at the bottom of the moutain. Prob a 20 min drive ish. If the market basket is still open in ashiers. It would be wprth checkin out. I thnk there is a craft beer/wine store next to the ingles on 64. Been a long time though, i would call first. If have the time, the bp in Sylva is the best thin west of asheville.

+1 on the BP. TJ's? I scored a couple bottles of Cascade The Vine there months after it hit the Triangle (where it sold out in a day). If you're in Sylva, hit Heinzelmancchen (sp) brewery. Small operation but the brewmaster is a good guy and it was a fun way to kill an hour.
