Taking it nice and slow driving up from Boston today (I'm in the passenger seat). Anyone there have an update on the line?

It’s pretty busy despite the snow. Line’s been doubled around the retail room since open.

That's better than I could have hoped for if it's all inside.

Flying out to Boston tomorrow and hoping to either head NW towards HF and Alchemist or N to Bissell. I guess I'm gonna need to factor in weather.

And distance? 3.5 hours to HF with no traffic and good roads, 2 hours to Bissell.

It's timing too. Flight lands around noon, have to pick up car, etc. Any delays and I'd miss HF's 5PM close. I don't so much care about the distance, I've never been to either so I'm looking forward to whichever direction I choose.

Make sure whatever you rent has 4 wheel or AWD. Some of the hills are nearly impassible without if they are snow covered.

Will you be in MA at all? You can drink HF on tap in Worcester at the Armsby Abbey if you plan on heading out that way to hit Tree House

Going to spend the weekend in Boston. I have a day to kill while my wife wraps up her business trip. Looking to bring home some HF or Swish.

I’ve got my own business trip in a month that will take me very close to Tree House.

Drive there from mass was pretty bad this morning but I did completely avoid any nonsense on 91 thankfully, as taking 93 all the way up only puts you on it for a short bit. 93 in NH was pretty treacherous at points, though - drive took just about a full extra hour than normal.

Line moved fast for being snaked - all said and done was able to fill growlers, have a Leaves of Grass, and get bottles in exactly an hour from the time I got there. Went home via Lawson’s and 89 - much smoother sailing than the direct to HF route.

All back roads for me coming from Portland, ME. Didn’t encounter snow until Fryeburg. Snow was heavy in Bethlehem, NH which caused a tractor trailer to slide back down a steep hill it was traveling up - Had to wait for a plow to clear the way.

Arrived at HF @ 11am on the dot after leaving my house at 6am. Took 1.5 hours extra because of the weather.

They had an amazing taproom listing. No growlers for me but I was able to finally try Poetica 1 and Nitro Twilight. Ended with Everett on the deck.

Helped someone from NY get there 2-wheel drive car out of their parking spot - before someone with rope stole my thunder hahaha

    Always worth it for Hill

Purely for beer there is no comparison between going to HF and going to Bissell, particularly with HF's current offerings (unless maybe you just care about hops). However, Bissell is definitely a much easier drive and there is a lot more do to in Portland than Greensboro (no offense Greensboro!). You would be cutting it tight but I would probably take the risk and head up to VT unless my flight was delayed or it took me longer to get my rental. You shouldnt really have any traffic issues and weather has cleared up. Any option to stay up for the night after?

Would hope OP ties Allagash and Oxbow into the Bissell route, if chosen...certainly more enticing around the 19th given the dual Coolship drop

Anyone have an update on BG&E availability today? I know they haven’t adjusted the limits, so that’s a positive sign. Guesses as to if it lasts until tomorrow?
