In my experience, they're all good for years at cellar temps, except Dorothy. Arthur in particular I think ages very well.

Good news about Hill now having more consistent access to Riwaka:

Not only consistent access but better product as well. It’s such a cool hop when it’s good. When it’s bad it’s literally straight machine oil/diesel fuel. There is so little of this hop to go around. Hopefully the Freestyle Hop program will increase its availability and it’s quality.

Speaking solely of Anna, in March of 2015 our daughter Anna was born. Coincidentally and very luckily, there was a batch of Anna bottled in March 2015 including an Anna magnum. I think I traded for about 10-12 bottles of that batch that year including a magnum. My wife and I open a bottle on our daughter's birthday each year as well as for major milestones in her life. I think I still have maybe 3-4 more bottles to go. My favorite so far was having the March 2015 bottle of Anna in March 2017 and March 2018. But every time time it's been a great experience to see how it has developed. Also, I keep all bottles in a 50F refrigerator.

My experience is the big 3 age well 3 yrs not more than 5. Dorothy is best within 2 yrs.
I have had Arthur at 5 years and it was marvelous.
    Enjoy.

Has anybody had a bad HF saison ever? I mean I'm just asking I'm surprised these tips have gone on for this long. I can't even recall having even a mildly disappointing HF beer, excluding personal preferences. Shit is as good as it gets, both fresh and with age.

CD Cherry Crabapple was a rare miss. Tasted like bandaids.

No, I never had. Its amazing how good and consistent they are. Especially considering that it is a mixed ferment brew. They truly are incredible.

Its funny how there are a lot of breweries out there (like 2 in MASS) that people refer to as world class, but many of these world class breweries are unable to even produce their flagship IPAs to taste consistently the same. People talk about good batches and bad batches. It is ridiculous. on the other hand breweries like Hills Farmstead, Alchemist, Von Trapp, Sierra Nevada are able to produce great beers that taste the same every single time.

CD citrus was a drain pour. First HF drain pour since Five Sciences.

IMO, CD Citrus was worlds better than CD Cherry Crabapple. Crabapple was without a doubt the worst Hill beer I've had and nothing else is even remotely close.

Flora BBR was terrible for me. It might have been that particular batch as I'm seeing mixed reviews from friends on Untappd. I've also noticed that the "shelf" saisons have begun to have a bit more tartness out of the gate (whereas in the past, it would develop with age) to the point where it is losing some of the balance I have traditionally enjoyed.

It was one of those posted fliers with tabs to pull w/ a number on it. Maybe it was someone who worked there not sure. Luckily met an awesome couple going as well from HL. Good luck

I also wasn't crazy about BBR, but I get plastic flavors from a lot of brett beers that contain blueberries, so I chalked it up to that. I wonder if the shelfies are bottle conditioned longer these days, so they're a bit more more tart out of the gate. i haven't picked up some in a while, but I recall seeing that the bottle dates are often 6+ months old and I don't think it's always been like that.

I heard that from friends, so sat on mine for about 6 months...I found it to be absolutely stellar so either it developed and mellowed out over that time, or them having a bottle share of 30 other HF beers that night wrecked their palates lol

I didn't love Edna but that's more a dislike of the style.

I remember finding Peleg to be a little strange, although I was pretty young in my craft beer experience back when I had it so I might feel otherwise now.
