I remember going to the 2nd anniversary and having some of the most beautiful weather ever. Fast forward a year and it was hail/snow/wind. June sounds good!

Same here. 2nd anniversary was the best. Skipped the 3rd year luckily. Was entertaining to see the videos from home though.

No. I don't see anything on the Universe page or the HF page that says you can't enter multiple times. You can't win more than one bottle, but where does it say you can't register to win on, say, March 12th more than once.
Practically, you can enter multiple times for the same day by going back to the registration page and entering the exact same details. You receive normal confirmations and no notifications of any policy violations.
I emailed Universe for clarification, but their first response was not helpful.
I'd like to get more concrete explanation of the rules before I start donating thousands of dollars to the Center for an Agricultural Economy’s Place-Based Education program. (These entry fees are tax deductible, right?) But for now I'm twice as likely to win as anyone else.

I asked HF directly for clarification and received a response of one entry per day available to pick up. Therefore, four total entries are the max. They DO NOT want anyone entering multiples times for the same day as it wouldn't be fair.

If that's truly the case, HF should have owned the day selection, and saidy one entry per person, period, and we will provide you with the date that you can attend. The instructions really are not clear. "One entry per day" can be interpreted a zillion different ways with the way they set this up.

I agree. The Ann lottery instructions were clear.

Hmmm would any fine BA folks be able to potentially grab a few tickets for me at the retail shop?

I need to better figure out my schedule before I commit but I would gladly Paypal/Venmo if it works out. Just putting out feelers

I am not sure how this one will work, but are the tickets they sell from the retail shop transferrable? For past FOFAs onsite ticket sales they matched your ID to credit card info and wrote your name on the tickets.

They replied to this question on Instagram and said the physical tickets are transferable.

Thanks for the info. I have never won the FOFA online lottery, but have always been able to get the onsite tickets. Nice to know I have an option if I end up not being able to attend.

Do they still have coffee collective beans to go?

No. Not as of last Saturday at least - it's been quite some time since they have in my knowledge.

My wife and I will be making our first trip up to Hill Farmstead on Friday 2/29 - we'll be on our way to Quebec City, but we're splitting up the drive with a night in the Northeast Kingdom that will include a stop at HF and then staying at a bed and breakfast a few miles away.

I understand HF closes at 5 and according to the bnb operator, there aren't a ton of restaurants in the area. Can anyone recommend a place or two to eat in the area surrounding the brewery? I imagine we'll get to HF around 2:30-3 and stay there until they close, then grab an early dinner - ideally nearby - before heading to our lodging.

Any other suggestions for a first time visitor are also welcome. I've had Abner and Edward on tap, but never tried any other HF beer, so I'm really looking forward to sampling a variety of styles at the brewery.

Are you staying at Highland Lodge? If not, that's pretty close and has good food and HF on tap. Parker Pie in Glover is the option you'll hear, that's probably about 20 mins from HF but depending on where you're staying may be in the right direction. Good pizza and always a good tap list. There's a chance there will be an onsite food vendor at HF that day as well.

Regarding HF, Fridays are typically a solid day to go - less crowded than Saturday, and the time you're going is ideal as well, as many people go for open. I typically buy bottles/cans first then head next door and have a couple of beers in the taproom (you also fill growlers here, so grab a ticket when you walk in). You really can't go wrong with any of their beers, but I'd highly recommend trying whatever lager they have on tap - Poetica, Memoria and Rhetorica are all phenomenal.
