Does anyone know what Hill's favorite distillery is? It's mentioned in the description of Aaron Bourbon/Cognac including on the bottle itself.

Wouldn't it be BT? Based on past descriptions for bottlings like GoM...?

Only remember BT and Heaven Hill brands ever being mentioned, with significantly more BT brands to HH, really can only recall Elijah Craig as an HH brand mentioned.

Wife and I are headed to HF in a couple of weeks. Saw that they take reservations, but for some reason there’s zero availability for 4/8. As it’s the only date with nothing available, is there some special event or release that day? Wondering if there’s any hope getting through on the waitlist.

Could be all sold out already? Given that the Saturday 9th is gone as well I’d say it’s just gone. Most folks don’t make the trek midweek so those times last longer. It honestly kind of sucks trying to go there now for a reservation. Glad almost all other breweries have gotten away from it. You can still grab some retail, but it’s not the same

They're only open on the first Saturday of every month, so they're not open on the 9th. The 8th is literally the only day during the month of April that is sold out, hence why I'm curious.

You can get 2 oz pours of GTS or WLW at some bars for around the same

    Crazy but I’d do it.

This said, I remember thinking that a 750 mL of Le Sarrasin for $70 on site was too expensive…

Damn, I thought the $6 per ounce I paid for MJK at Side Project was pricey...

They get posted to a FB enthusiast site every so often. Don’t see HF doing anything official.

It was gone yesterday, not sure if they'll bring it back. They always have incredible offerings on the list, though.

Usually, you’re looking at $40-80 for 2oz. On rare occasions you might get GTS for closer to $30. Anyone giving you GTS (but especially WLW) for better than $30 for a 2oz pour is giving you a sweetheart deal like none other. I think most places that list WLW for $40/2oz probably sell out pretty quick. That’s a very good deal. That sounds crazy to say, but that’s like half of secondary. Last time I saw GTS that cheap (and it was available a couple months after release) was 2018/2019. Everything has become ridiculously over the top crazy insane since then, unfortunately. Now THH at $40/2oz pour feels “reasonable”.

Now, back to your regularly scheduled beer discussion.

Within the past 3-4 years a place in DT Boston used to have the whole lineup of BTAC for 16.50 for a 2 oz pour. Pappy 23 was $45. Oh the good old days.

I found a place in Atlanta that did the same thing. Only problem is that I was told they had to stop because people would bring their buddies and stay for a couple days, and just drink through as many bottles as they could. The point of bars like that is obviously to provide it to everyone, not provide it to one group of assholes.

I have a reservation for this Wed afternoon. Anything particularly noteworthy I should sample? I'll probably also grab some IPA cans to go. I've had Hill beers, but never visited, so any insight would be appreciated. I'm staying in the area for a few days, so could visit more than once, or hit up any other gems if they're not too far away. Thanks!
