Saw on their website that they are releasing bottles on July 14th at 11am, was wondering if there is usually a long line for this. Was thinking of driving up from western NY the day before and go in the morning (would show up a few hours early if need be), but didnt want to make the 8hr drive and have them sell out prior to me getting any of the bottles. Thanks for any help

My last thread got deleted (if we aren't allowed to post something like this, please let me know)

I am going to the HF Bottle release on saturday. Another BA is coming up from Delaware and i am picking him up at the Westwood Train Station saturday morning.

I have 2 more spots, the ride is free (I get free gas in my company car) There are ads on the side of my car, so be prepared for that. I can pick you up along the way or at the westwood station, whatever is easier. I am looking to arrive at HF between 10-1030.

BM if you want to tag along. Again, there is no cost for this, just trying to help other BAs out!

This is one east coast beer that this west coast BA can't wait to try, heard nothing but great things about their brews.

    Cheers.....

still have room for one more for the trip up to HF. Looks like we are going to try to stop and find some HT and/or Lawson's. Let me know if you want in, leaving boston around 630.

Had a great time, 2 really cool dudes took me up on my offer. (Jon and Mike) Looking forward to fests and more releases with you guys! Bottle release was great. Growler fill line, not so much.

Glad you had a great time. After spending 4 hours up there and not getting any Ann, Double Citra, or stemware I would say it was one of the worst bottle releases I went to, but if I had gotten there an hour earlier I may have felt different.

Yeah it's definitely a get there early. I got there at 1130 and was at the end of the line and missed out on Ann. I didn't even bother with the growlers, and went to Alchemist, Rock Art, and Prohibition Pig before drying to the Southern NH Brewers Fest, which was pretty good.

Definitely frustrating to see people walkin out with sixtels and coolers full of the stuff and then people in the back who just want one or two get turned away :\ but I guess that's how it goes when dude is making amazing beer. I would have loved to get some growlers, so next time I don't have to spend more money on them.

The 2nd Anniversary was much better, the lines were fast and it didn't seem to have the same vibe of people in desperation for this beer. I felt like an addict driving all the way up there.

We got there about 10, we're about 70th in line. They definitely need to implement a growler limit. They made it 4 per person but not till about 115. They were serving beer in line, which helped.

I saw people walking away hobbled over carrying logs...maybe it was a special favor or something, but there was a dude definitely walking away carrying a loaded sixtel

The beeswax on Ann smells good.

At previous Hill Farmstead releases, you pretty much got your limit if you showed up. At this one, almost everybody got theirs. I'm guessing that the turnout was as high as it was since this was the middle of the summer and 3 different, highly anticipated, beers were being released. Most people walked away with 8 bottles of awesome beer and a few people toward the end of the line walked away with 7 bottles of awesome beer. I missed out on Ann but I got 4 bottles of Civil Disobedience 4 and 3 bottles of Jimmy and that's more than enough to put a big smile on my face. I also got to enjoy a few beers while waiting in line which certainly makes the line more tolerable.

Thank you Shaun and crew for all of your hard work and dedication. It is much appreciated.

About halfway home from the release, we could not figure out what that smell was. It smelled like driving through a meadow at springtime, except we were closed in the car with the AC on (cause it was muggy as balls).

Eventually I reached down to pick up my bottles to read more on them and discovered the beeswax on Ann. Are you kidding me? Awesome idea, Shaun.
