I opened a bottle of E. right after this year's release in May, and while I thought it was good, it didn't blow me away like I expected it to given the usual quality of Hill Farmstead's beers. I ended up trading 2 bottles away (albeit for some tasty beers), but held onto my last one and opened it a couple of weeks ago. This time it was absolutely phenomenal! It was exactly what I had wanted the beer to be the first time around. I am now deeply regretting trading those two bottles away. I was curious if others have had the same experience with this beer. Perhaps it is not a matter of time, but one of bottle variation?

Nope. It needed more time. Ever improving. Lesson learned? =)

I have an extra bottle of E. that I was sure if I should drink in the near future or if it would be ok to hang on for a little while. Is it a matter of the hops fading out more and getting funkier over time? Think I should drink it sooner than later.
