I was just looking through the reviews on Hill Farmstead Ephraim, and I noticed that there are a lot of recent hads, the latest being 2/19/2014. The last review was 2/2/2014 and the one before that was 11/25/2013. I am sure Hill Farmstead sends kegs of this out to local accounts, and I get that people are going to "catch up" on their hads, but how are people in Illinois, Virginia, Oregon, California, Pennsylvania and Florida checking off this beer over the past month when it hasn't been available at Hill Farmstead for quite a while now? Honestly just curious if people are getting growler fills from elsewhere (non-brewery), visiting local VT accounts, or if people are somehow drinking old growlers.
If its not at the brewery, it won't make it to retail accounts. If the retail account held onto an ipa keg for that long, they'd risk Shuan cutting them off.
it's not entirely unusual for users to mark off "hads" well after they've consumed them. i know i do that.
I do this as well. Most of the time I try a new beer out to dinner or at a beer bar. End up forgetting to log into my hads until later. The girlfriend gets pissed when I'm paying more attention to my phone and beer rankings then her. Talk about high maintenance! haha
