Do we really need to act surprised that inflammatory remarks got fans of any particular brewery to get up in arms? I'd imagine we'd see a similar reaction if I posted "Is Russian River the most over-rated brewery in the country? I've had more beer in more styles than you guys, and PtY is soapy and flavorless. Abrasive is 100x better. Also, where are all the morons that spent money on Beatification? You all must feel pretty stupid now, amirite?"

 

The best case to think he's trolling is that he's rated 7 HF beers and 2 were 4.5 and another two were 4.75. Of all the awesome beers he's had, only 11 have a higher rating than those two.

 

Can you really call a brewery overrated based off two beers when they make dozens of them?

 

Ya they suck. I mean Ive seen breweries suck before, but these guys are the suckiest bunch of sucks that ever sucked!

 

DFH is an odd case, isn't it? The name is so much more weighty than the beers they make. Rogue is similar, IMO, in that it's no one's favorite, but a cult following respects its creativity.

I ain't drinking no book though. No sir.

 

Yes, you can say whatever you want. Let's just say you have a real weak basis to make that judgment.

edit: I'll go a step further. Both the beers you've tried are porters and while just about all their beers earn praise, the styles that they are most renowned for are their hoppy beers and saisons, of which you've tried exactly none of.

 

Why do you even care? If you don't like it, then don't bother.

I cannot even believe this thread exists!! I think Bud lite is over hyped by marketing. HF is hyped due to the pure awesomeness it is. Well, I am going up in a couple weeks, 400 miles out of my way to buy a a case of Saisons and fill up once again my growlers.

They make beer that is worth the hype.

 

Op is definitely trolling here and I find his argument to be totally underwhelming and very dull. I should know I have read many top notch forums, more then most of you on here. How could the Op really know anyway, he is from Mn and everyone knows that you can't get any top notch forums to read up there. By no means could the Op say trade for such good forums or drive across the border to another state and read said forums in those states. No no no.

 

Yeah...I'm guessing the most overrated for sure.

You know who else is overrated? All those other breweries that make really good beer that a lot of people like and that a lot of people dont.
