What's it take to get this beer? I've posted a couple threads this past week and haven't gotten a single bite.

    This is what I offered:
    SOME OF THE FOLLOWING
    DRIPA (growler)
    Creme Brulee Java Stout (growler)
    Raspberry Eisbock
BBFT or other meads (contact me for details)
    Nine Braggot
    Regular Braggot
    Root Beer (growler)
    07-12 BCBS Vertical
    BCBCS

How far off am I? I said I would be willing to go over $4$ but haven't gotten any BMs looking to start negotiations. I was looking for 2 bottles and any help on what it takes would be much appreciated!

Free 'likes' to anyone who responds with useful information.

I've had two bottles of Juicy and don't have any currently, so I feel I'm pretty objective. Looking at your list your best hope would be KRE +, and honestly I would trade a KRE + (which I do have) in a second for a Juicy, so I'm not sure even that is realistic. I would think something like KBE would be more likely to get it done. Good luck though, I thought it was a great beer. Definately worth seeking out.

I don't know man, this is conflicting to me. You have some great beers that I'd love to try, but on the other hand Juicy is one of my favorite beers ever (better than Mimosa in my opinion). I don't have any Juicy left by the way, just giving my thoughts on this. I think you just have to find the right person for this one.

well, you're trying to get a beer that was brewed once with no immediate plans of being brewed again. Offering growlers and bcbcs wont get it done, especially if you want two. KRE+ for one bottle would probably be more realistic.

Part of your issue is you are looking for 2 bottles. It was a 2 bottle limit and while I'm sure some people had a mule or went multiple times, most didn't or won't trade all their bottles.

That said...I personally didn't love Juicy as much as most here, it seems.
I have a couple bottles left (full disclosure, not looking to trade)...for 1 bottle, something like KRE+ or the BCBS vertical may get it done with the right trader but odds are most people with Juicy can get those with other trades.

Offering something like Fou Foune or Lou Pepe's would get it done for 1 bottle+.
Offer up some more 'limited' beers (no growlers, no shelf, no always on at the brewery) to get it done.

edit: it's like StylzMC read my mind

why? I tried and failed. I'm trying to figure out why I failed so it doesn't happen again. Is this not the right place for this question?

Because these are clear workarounds to the ISO/FT forums that allow you to keep bumping your trade (Hell, I'm doing it for you right now). The parenthesis after your meads even read, "contact me for more details".

If your trade isn't getting done then you need to do what everyone else does: either up your offer (which, surprise surprise, everyone is telling you to do in here) or throw in the towel.

SMOKEY, THIS IS NOT 'NAM. THERE ARE RULES.

*super edit so I don't bump again*

Imo this is a community to help other beer fans score cool beer that they couldn't otherwise get and learn more about the craft. I say post on.

i got mine with a BAB9K when juicy came out. i don't know why KRE trades so low (i guess if it has a case limit at any point its a shelf turd?) but that should (but wont) get it done. like others said KRE + is your best bet from that list.

I just copied and pasted that list from my ISO:FT post earlier in the week so you all could get an idea of what I was currently offering. If you prefer, I could change the post to "Do I have what it takes to land a Juicy? Here's a link to my Gots." I think I'm doing this the proper way.

I turned to this sub-forum for help, and I'm getting what I came here for. Thank you all for your advice. I'll take this knowledge and regroup!

Not sure what it takes but if you score something, I'd pop something pretty nice at a tasting to be able to try it (I'm in RO too... )

I see your problem. You are using too many acronyms, and nobody really knows what the hell you are offering.

Except DRIPA is the name of the beer ...

Edit: BBFT is bourbon banana french toast mead

I suppose you're right. I assumed (my bad) that if a person was looking for it, they would know the acronym. DRIPA is Kuhnhenn's Double Rice India Pale Ale but it's just called "DRIPA"; a single word. BBFT is Bourbon Banana French Toast Mead, but those words tend to nuke threads pretty quickly (speaking from experience). I usually try to be sensitive to these things but it looks like I missed two! Thanks a lot
