This chicken wing conversation kills me. Your talking locally grown, fresh wings that are smoked in-house and not mass produced frozen shit. Yes they are a bit more expensive, but just like good beer, your willing to pay for better quality and craftsmanship . So why not treat kitchens the same way.

    Rant, sorry!

I couldn't agree more... Paying $20-30 for a bottle of Cantillon isn't a big deal for most of us...

I take it you'll be bringing your theme music?

    Thanks for the chuckle.

$8 for smoked wings isn't so bad. I go to places with $10 plates of buffalo wings and I don't even know where they come from.

Maybe they do. I never said not to go to the prohibition pig, or even not to get the wings. But i dont expect to order wings and have 5 show up on the plate. If you are good with that then by all means have at it.

Glass is $3 for a 750ml and $10 for a 2L. But they do also fill other glass, just not clear.

Nah they don't care. But they're very strict about clear glass.

I once had them fill a Russian River growler and Victory growler in addition to one of their own. They accidentally filled Abner instead of Ephraim in the Victory glass (I know, tough life...), so I told them to hold onto the Victory and they filled one of their own in exchange with Ephraim. I assume my Victory growler of Abner got shared or drank later with some folks, which is what I had hoped for, and then I got the Victory growler in the mail a few weeks later. Good people up there.

I had a ton of fun up there... Hope the guy we helped change a tire at 9 AM made it home to NY ok... Hopefully Shaun enjoys the New Glarus Tart and Red my buddy gave him.

Was this from the first batch of Ephraim? I don't believe they would fill anything other than their glass (or similar glass like RR and Stone) after the second or third batch of Ephraim because they will only do counter-pressure fills. Maybe that's why they filled your Victory growler with Abner?
