I noticed that the descriptions on some of the Hill Farmstead saisons/farmhouse ales now state they are aged in foudres or puncheons. Just curious, how new is this? Any input on how this has changed the brews (positive or negative)?

    Cheers.

He's been using the foudres since at least 2013.

I believe (please feel free to correct em if I'm wrong) that the "magic" Anna bottles (11/13 bottle date) was the first or one of the first foudre batches. That and the first Florence batch from the foudres were outstanding.
