Curious as to what it takes to land some Hill Farmstead wonderfullness. I've had a couple of their brews & let's just say the intrigue has not faded. I want to try as many of their beers as possible, especially the Farmhouse Ales. Every time I post in the ISO:FT forum for HF, I get crickets. Any advice would be very much appreciated.

    Thanks and cheers...

With all those barrel aged Voodoo beers you just picked up you should be able to land some HF Farmhouse. The Retail Shop lists the collaboration with Fantome as available. I'm sure Arthur, Florence, and Anna should be easy to find.

The best time to post to try and get HF stuff is right as they have bottle releases (next wednesday). Most people plan to head up for those, and many go just to trade...

This. The saisons are fairly easy to trade for. The Voodoo's would DEFINITELY get this done. If I had any on hand, or if there were some available last week, I'd do this in a heart beat.

I know you're pretty far from Philly, but if you ever make trips out here we get a variety of the saisons and IPAs on draft, although it's infrequent. I'd bet on some Philly Beer Week HF events though, Shaun was down here the last 2 summers for a few pretty ridiculous tappings.

The shelf saisons are typically $10/750ml

Perhaps I am missing something, but I only see one post from you ISO: HF. Nugget Nectar won't get it done, Abrasive is borderline but doable with the right person, and Pentagram is a bit of a niche beer.

You did offer up KBS for some others - that should pull the more run of the mill HF stuff. The aforementioned voodoo barrel releases will definitely land you the low-hanging HF fruit, and probably some of the more semi-limited stuff as well.

Keep in mind that the whole trading world clamors for HF, so it's easy for one post to get overlooked, particularly as a new trader. Stick with it, make a strong offer, and you'll eventually get some bites.

If I didn't have so many boxes to send out from offering previously, I would hookitupbro.

Someone who hits up HF regularly should help the OP out. If not, OP shoot me a message and we can work something out for some time further down the road.

Hookitupbro, seriously. Let him take my spot right now if he so pleases. I can wait a month or two for HF amazingness. Double Citra does sound good though. But I can wait. I got too much beer anyways.

If my ISO:FT goes more than 24 hours or so with only crickets, I'll usually just delete it altogether so as to keep from causing clutter and so that I can post fresh at a later time something new and different. that's why it looks like I haven't posted much. I figure it's good for keeping from somebody seeing a multiple posts of mine at some point and causing confusion. Also, I don't want to clog the internetz with numerous ISO:FT's that are way off base. I'd rather just do something like this and ask the community for feedback so I'm fishing with the right bait going forward.

Thanks for the advice! Much appreciated.

And for the record, the Voodoo's aren't up for trade. The bottle limits were way too low (1 on most, and 3 for only 2 of the BM variants) to be able to trade any of them out. I was able to score a couple extra BBVD's the day after the release, and quickly traded them out to people down south and out west who had no chance of getting to my area to pick some up. That's why they really haven't hit the ISO:FT board that hard. The beers are definitely world class; but there simply isn't enough. Of all the variants released, I think only one hit 575 bottles.

Thanks everybody! I appreciate all the feedback and certainly welcome more.

    ~Tom

I'd gladly, and humbly, take his place. That is ridiculously generous.

Good to know. I am currently scheduled to be down there for the International Beer Fest, pouring for Lavery. I'll keep an eye out for any HF events that may pop up. Thanks!

FYI - Much of what you just said applies directly to many HF beers as well. Their typical releases have bottle counts in the hundreds, often times with one bottle limits. You need to give to get... For example, you're probably not going to get anything that shows up on here with anything less than one of those Voodoo bottles:

That's also good to know. We have no idea where I live how big the bottle releases are at HF, what the limits are, etc.

An Edith seems attainable. But other than that, those Voodoo bottles are gonna have to be offered.

$10 per 750ml and worth every penny. Other than a 4pk of Heady, this might be my favorite beer for the price on the planet. I'm permanently ISO Arthur. mmmmmmm

Arthur, Pliny, and any Alpine IPA's are the best values IMO. Arthur is probably among the top 5 beers I've ticked that are attainable again.
