Having had many of HF's offerings and all the Black Magick variants. There's no way I'd personally give up any black magick for growlers of IPA'S or shelf Saison from HF. Yes, the beers are amazing, but these voodoo beers were just as tough to come by and equally tasty. I believe the black magick variants should be able to trade for some of the more limited HF releases such as BoT (which actually had a higher bottle count than the BM variants), but not the crazy low bottle count ones. With all that said, you do have to give up something of value for those growlers because of the difficulty getting to HF and the overall desirability of their beers within the community. My best advice to the OP however, is establish good trade partners. I've extra'd an Arthur before, and been extra'd Anna recently as well.

I would say use KBS, Doom and other Erie local brews to trade up for higher demand beers to build your cellar up....then make a nice package offer for HF stuff. It took me over a year of weekly trading to build up a nice cellar that would let me land "whALES". Either that, or go to Save-On in Mentor and buy up some 3F and Cantillon stuff when/if they have it. Or...Willoughby Peanut Butter Cup Porter growlers trade well too. I wouldn't give up any Voodoo Barrel Room Collection beers for HF stuff.

Vermont and surrounding states get founders. Cantillon and 3F is occasionally available at the brewery. You can get 3F oude gueuze there right now. The right person may trade regular HF beers/growlers for those but probably not any of the limited releases.

This. I can only speak from my own experiences BUT:

I have KBS, we got a fair amount this year, so no on that.
I know I can get DOOM when it comes out, so no on that.
I can buy 750's of 3F at Hill on the cheap, so no on that.
I can find Cantillon occasionally, but not always. Call this one a maybe.
Willoughby growler? Maybe, depending on price.
Voodoo stuff - trade for heady topper.
Just kidding, like Shiilt was saying, I'd trade something like BoT for those beers and I think that'd be fair. I wouldn't trade a Norma, but it wouldn't surprise me if someone did. If someone offered the Voodoo BA beers for growlers or shelf saisons, I'd quickly message them and take them up on the offer

Sounds good! I'll save some beers that I wouldn't trade away for the voodoo beers and crack them when you get here :grinning:
