Are you saying they had Bourbon County Rare? I saw they had BCBS on tap at the time you indicate but not Rare. Also, yeah, Lunch dropped on the island a week or so ago. Bottles were at a few locations.

 

Yes it was certainly 2015 Rare Bourbon County. By description, tap handle, and taste (notably different from the numerous 2015 regular BCBS I've had). I was certainly shocked and am still questioning why I didn't buy a growler or two to go.

If there's a way to look at the venue or just scroll back far enough on Untappd around 4/30/16 you will see some other check-ins including mine.

I second this. Any shops on the island or Bluffton that will get distrobution? Heading there with the family next week and would love to get my hands on a bottle.

 

Does the Hilton Head Brewery fill any growlers or just their own?

Thanks, will check with the brewery. Had a buddy in HH last couple of days, but unfortunately brewery was closed both days he was there. Was going to have him bring home a growler or two. Oh well, said he's going back in July, so will wait until then. Will send him with empty growlers if they accept them.

 

Went to Hilton Head Brewing today and the Break Series IPAs are awesome! Such an awesome surprise, as these are as good or better than a ton of stuff I've had. They will full growlers too btw...

 

So ya, Hilton head brewery IPA's are killer-thanks James . Had the Folly, jstreet and jointer among many others. Coffee stout was tasty as well. Got growlers to enjoy while I was there, drained them and filled up again to take home. Lodge had Siberian black magic Panther, 6 point Puff, a Westbrook mosaic Galaxy IPA among others - great selection as usual there. I didn't go but there's a world of beers that is open in the Kroger shopping center now too.

Is the bomboras grille worth a stop?

 

Bomboras grille sold me 3 bottles of mexican cake yesterday. They received a case out of the 3 on the island.

 

Piggly Wiggly over in Port Royal (Beaufort) has bottles of Mexican Cake. Have to ask as it's not on the shelf.

 

Anyone going to be in Hilt N this weekend or next that wants to share a beer?
