Who at GTOM had it at the Tipsy Cow preparty and what did you think? Ran into a bottle in green bay and was curious if it was rough fresh (boozy and needs to be sat down) or if it was any good, etc.

Thanks in advance for any opinions on the brew!

I had it at the 3pm tapping at The Great Taste. It was mild and not boozy at all.

I would look to try it again on a clean palate. If you happen upon some Barrel Aged Oso's Night Train in Wisconsin stay clear of that mess. Talk about a green apple taste.

i didn't get green apple form it, just sugary bourbon, it totally overpowered the base beer, it wasn't boozy though.

Is this bottled? I've liked the handful of Hinterland I've had, & this sounds intriguing.

Had it in Milwaukee. The oud bruin is pretty good.

If you want to taste it, Mitchel from Hinterland will be at Ridgeview from 3-6pm Thursday sampling the BB Doppl and Octoberfest.

So I found a bottle and tried it. It is good. A bit mild in the bourbon for my liking but it is still quite an enjoyable beer. For that price point (I paid $6.50 for a 16oz bottle) it has great value.
What should be brought up here is the bottle waxing. Or the gluing I should say, as it is more like glue than wax. It took me a good ten minutes to clear away enough of it so that I could even get a bottle opener in position to open it. It is worth getting a bottle just to tackle that and see if you can succeed without injury!

Yeah I had it last week at ridge views tasting. Solid favors, light bodied. Maybe not worth the price but not a bad beer

A lighter worked magic in getting my bottle open....too bad the beer was not worth the effort. Oh well...
