Odd Side for Hipster is where I'll be.

I saw that as well. It was a little cryptic though, so I was hoping to get better info, which you all have kindly provided.

Sounds like Halloween may be a trip to Grand Haven via Marshall, Kzoo and Grand Rapids...

Unless you meant that Monster 29 is being released on Black Friday.

I'm sure my family won't mind :grimacing:

Wondering if this is the first "official BCBS Black Friday" thread of 2015??

I only started the thread because odd sides released the dates for their upcoming releases. Too many good beers, I'm having a tough time deciding the best strategy. FT: hipster brunch 2015, ISO: Bourbon county variants 2015?

I'd drive to Chicago and go for the variants that see little to no distribution in Michigan. OddSide will have their bottles available for distribution well after black friday. I was able to locate Hipster Brunch months after it's initial release.

"Camp" for hours in freezing temps for the 'opportunity' to pay $10+ for a single 16.9 oz. bottle of regular BCBS and maybe get a couple variants for $30-$40 a piece.

The state of craft beer in 2015.

Exactly why I don't participate. I did buy some Bell's Oberon at the store yesterday. It was tasty.

I would much rather trade for beer, but the trade value for bcbs variants is unreal.

You should go to Odd Side, that way there is one less person chasing Bourbon County.

Why don't you just do BCBS in Chicago basically overnight and into the morning/afternoon then get in your car and make the drive to Odd Side? I'm sure they'll still have cases of Hipster at that point.

This past year BCBS didn't hit West Michigan until the week after black friday (not that there was much, or variants), so I will be going to Odd Side. It is a 1:1 trade with Hipster to BCBS, maybe 3:2 at worst and maybe 8:1 for variants(?). I traded it 1:1 for BBPT5 and BCBS this year.

    Good to know.

I just have to make the pilgrimage to Chicagoland this year. Michigan sees next to nothing in the way of variants.

    I sell beer in Chicago.
    Go local, support Grand Haven.

BCBS is a shit show to deal with.

C'mon Doom. Let's get that first trade on the board for ya. Hipster for Vanilla:wink:

    Binnys won't mind.

Last year someone tried to bribe me with 2 bottles of Cantillon for a bottle of Prop.

As someone who went to Chicago last year-it depends how much patience you have. I did binnys only because I didn't want to run the risk of striking out.

Depending on what variants are released this year I wil likely be back. Especially if the Rumors of Rare being released again are true.

There was certainly a lot of BCBS in Kalamazoo on Black Friday last year. No variants until later though that I was aware of.

BCBS. Then go back that day and pick up your case of Hipster Brunch. Winning.
