Hey folks! I came across a recent article that got me thinking. With all the experimentation in craft beer in recent years, I think it's rather refreshing that our forebears did plenty of experimenting themselves by mixing their beer with fruits, sugar, spices, and spirits (probably more out of necessity than anything else?). Here's a link to the article I mentioned. It has a few of these mixes like lambswool, braggot, rum fustian, and other interesting-sounding drinks. Have any of you ever made any of these? http://tempestinatankard.com/2018/0...al&utm_source=twitter.com&utm_campaign=buffer
I recall having a braggot (by Weyerbacher, I think), but I've never made one. I might have to give it a try over the weekend.
I had my first michelada last night and totally loved it. For some reason Perla kept providing me with them “under the radar” with no asking, and we efectively ended up partying and having breakfast together.
Never had a michelada, but it sounds interesting! I'll probably stick to trying my way through some of these warm beer cocktails over the winter and wait till the weather warms up to try a michelada.
