We were there about a year ago. We didn't specifically look for beer places and didn't stumble upon any in Porto or Lisbon. But there are some nice local beers to be had. Best one we had was Amura by Mean Sardine Brewing. In Lisbon there is a beer museum, but we skipped that because of poor reviews.
^ What he said. Portuguese wine is massively under-rated imo. And you've got port and muscatel of course. Although Mean Sardine do produce at least a handful of decent beers but don't expect them to be easily available. Super Bock or Sangres are absolutely dominant. I go there at least once a year and just end up drinking German supermarket classics. In terms of bars Cerveteca in Lisbon is supposed to be good but I haven't been personally.
I have and it is very good. Check out the reviews in Places on here. They had a decent selection of local beers my fave being Pasarola IPA which was exceptional. The bar staff were very informative and although the scene is still small compared to other countries it is beginning to flourish.
