Trying do figure out the dates on Hofbrau bottles. There is a number printed at the bottom of the back label and another number on the neck of the bottle. Any ideas on how to decipher them?

Easy way to know if the Maibock is fresh (this year's) is that this is the first year it was in the brown bottles. Local distro was passing off last year's batch around here for a while.
I found a bottle of Hofbrau Maibock in the back of the fridge that I just drank with dinner. I bought the 6-pack in late April, and it was not nearly as good as the other 5 that I had. It's code is L 030 R, so a January 30 date. However, it was still a tasty beer.
Hard to believe the refrigeration didn't keep it fresh. I have one left too, but it's not been refrigerated.
