Just curious if anyone else is experiencing longer than usual ship times now that the holiday season is upon us. All my fedex boxes have been taking twice as long as usual and it’s making me rather anxious.
Yeah same. I’ve got packages out for both usps and FedEx and both are taking forever. My usps ones keep moving and one arrived today (2 days after it said it would). I’m a little anxious about my FedEx box since it doesn’t show anything since Wednesday but am coping it up to holiday traffic like you said. I expect all is well.
Same here with USPS priority. Took 2 days extra, even though it says 2 day on the label. I'm probably going to hold off on my trades the closer we get to Xmas.
I can’t say I’m surprised to see some delays this time of year. I’m grtting concerned because I sent two boxes off last week on the exact same day (dropped them off together) and both were going to nearby addresses (same county, same state). Once they reached one of the interim hubs, one carried on and then other box didn’t update its tracking info for days until just now saying it’s been delayed due to weather. There are no weather delays in LA to speak of so I’m scratching head here. Can’t get a call back from fedex. Anyone experience anything like this before?
all i can tell you all is that i worked in a southern california fed ex depot for about a year, including a holiday season, and it gets unbelievably insane right after thanksgiving. Like maybe 3 times the volume moving through. lots more boxes get delayed, stuff gets set aside and forgotten, labels get ripped, stuff gets put on the wrong box, tracking scans are less consistent. I was not at all ready for it, it's really mind blowing. And that was pre amazon so Im guessing all the online shopping just makes it that much crazier now
I will answer the question I thought you were going to ask. Yes I usually drink while holiday shopping. My go to has been Carton Basic Coffee this year. Pour it into a coffee cup with a top and you are good to go.
I sent a box from GA to CA in the middle of last week and it made it there in two days. I have an incoming box that has taken 5 days to move less than 200 miles. It is hit and miss but shipping delays should definitely be expected although they won't effect all packages. As far as non-beer packages go I am having delays with all three carriers on about ~50% of my packages. This is the worst time of the year to ship anything although I'm sure that isn't a surprise to anyone here.
