    I think it would be an interesting experiment, as it would surely cut down on beer muling/trading groups organizing. I still think we'd see big crowds hurrying down to snag as much as they can.

    However, I can't fault HM for not attempting it.

    My impression is that shitstorm-grade beers attract shitstorm-grade beer seekers. That is the state of craft beer in 2016. Social media makes it very easy to share secrets, and nearly impossible to keep them.

    I could care less how they release a beer, but logistically announcing a release ahead of time makes it much easier for the staff at Holy Mountain to sell it. It gets very busy but its over in a few hours. The owners are there selling it, bartenders are serving. Smooth and easy (while diligently working) for them.

    You never can satisfy everybody...
