Reminds of first Monkish overnight line. People were sharing shit all night and being a general nuisance. Then my group gets called out because we were having cold brew coffee.

EDIT: Shoulda at least called out the mimosas we were having of Tart Simpson/Langer's Mango Nectar.

Is that their new norm though or is it likely the result of being a collab with Three Chiefs?

I don't have a car and I'm not close to the brewery so I've never visited, but everything I've tried from them has been great and I'm hugely looking forward to them opening a space near HPB Chinatown.

I haven’t completely written them off yet. I’ve visited once and most of what I tried was just decent. They had a Brett IPA that was terrific. I did also try a BA peach saison that was pure butter. It just needed more time. But if they start pulling the hype brewery 100-bottle release shit, I won’t ever go back.

I asked a bartender there last Sunday about what would happen to Pomona once they opened in LA and he said they were keeping the location.

looks like some of the brewing equipment is being installed at the chinatown location. and with it still under construction, looks still a long way from opening, but finally some solid progress

I'll be stopping in Homage Pomona location the following weekend. Have another gig to go to on that Saturday. Pomona Homage is always a good stop in and have a couple of beers b4 the gig.

Any locals able to confirm whether or not they regularly have glassware available in the taproom? I know their site is marked sold out, just wasn't positive if they had less exclusive house glasses that were more readily available or not.

I hope they don't serve food there. At least nothing substantial.

I don't like to eat and drink, and don't like food smell to get in the way of really good beer, which it always does. In Monkish, Beachwood, etc, oftentimes the smell of whatever comes from outside / the kitchen becomes very invasive. Modern Times is a musty mess. It's interference which I mind. I also prefer a bar vibe than a place with people sitting and eating. I find it unpleasant. Simple eats like HP is ok, but a full menu with a kitchen doesn't help beer. I would be up for cheese and mellow snacks, ala Cellador or Southland beer co.

Homage is very high end quality beer. Anyone who thinks having a kitchen within a tasting room is a good idea should probably go elsewhere.

That is... really bizarre. To each their own.

I want food in case HPB bar snacks aren't enough and Nick's is closed while I'm in the area.
