So awhile back, I made a joke to my buddy who does software design that I wanted a cool menu on a TV like you see when you visit a brewery; something I could update myself. Well, the crazy guy took me serious, and cranked out a basic program to start with that works with my Roku. So, I added another TV to my bar room to display the 20 some beers I have on hand. He is now working toward making this available an available product. So, I am here, to help him, find out what you all want to see in a product like this? I think right now he is looking at for a home bar type costing $25 a year. You input all the information for the beer yourself (name, type, ABV, IBU, brewery and location.) You can also add a picture, or pick from an image of the glass type (color of beer is changeable.) You also customize how you want your menu to look, from the number of columns, bar name, background picture, QR codes, etc. So, my questions are, would most of you with a home bar be interested in something like this? Is there something else you would like to see? I won't include the name of his product just so nobody accuses me of trying to sell something. I really just want to help my friend.
I think that's pretty damn cool, and if I had a home bar (several years away still) I'd be interested
I literally came to this forum to ask if this exists! So yes I would LOVE this. It would be especially clutch when entertaining less beer literate folks. Especially if it can be sorted by style, freshness, abv, etc. Here I was simply going to ask if BA could add a "in fridge" button to our gots, but this is even cooler!
