Alright guys - this is closed out. I'll be sending PMs to get the shipping info and provide targets.

I'd love to be included for the next one. I'm just hopefully starting to brew twice a month, so by mid summer I should have a couple batches on hand.

If anyone backs out, I could do this one. Looking forward to the next one.

That's an interesting idea. I think there are a couple of judges on this forum. If enough of them would agree to participate a virtual contest might be possible.

Love it, maybe limit it to 3-5 very general categories to be judged in. Be great if some brewery or two donated some swag as prizes too.

I am interested in the idea, I just won't be ready to the end of July. Spent my spring building a fermentation chamber and setting up a kegging system. Brewing my first batch since last fall right now. American wheat with wyeast 1010 and 1lb of honey. Going to add some Jolly Pumpking dregs that I have been feeding for a month. Keep me in mind if there is a round 2.

Well I've got bleach blonde ale AND ESB fermenting now. I've got a red IPA that I'm pretty happy with that my target will definitely get at least a bomber of. I've got a sweet stout I'll probably send a 12oz out (need feedback, it was one of my early attempts and is ok but not great).

I have high hopes for the blonde, I just brewed it using WLP American Ale yeast. It was my first attempt at liquid yeast. Now I had ordered an eight gallon brew bucket but it didn't come yet, so I used my Mr Beer keg and my bottling carboy in a split batch. Should be interesting, because the exact proportions of water/wort probably aren't the same! I might send one of each mini-batch just for kicks.

The ESB should be nice, can't wait to taste it. I'll be real busy bottling in a few weeks.

I might get my coffee-oatmeal stout done in time for this one too, although it will have just gone into bottles come shipping week so will still need to condition some.

I'm all for a contest if a good way to do it can be worked out. If not, no biggie, I'm easy.

Damn, I just saw this thread. I'd be super down with joining the next round.

But in the meantime, if there's anyone in Boston who wants to give this a local go (simply one or two bottle even-up swap), BM me!

Man, this seems really cool. I've just been home brewing for almost a year, so no way I'd want to join in and disappoint somebody (laughing). But rest assure that within time, I'll be here doing this with you guys.
