I'm considering entering some homebrews in the homebrew competition at the state fair next year. I know it's a year away, but I haven't entered a competiton before. For those of you who do enter competitions, what tips/advice might you have?
- Make beer that is not only good, but is also to the style guidelines. - After you get you score/comment sheets, critically taste your beer again in light of what you read and see if you agree. - Have a thick skin, but don't put to much stock in what any one judge says. Look for common themes in the comments.
