I thought club night was WAAYYY better than the pro night. I met @JackHorzempa like everyone else, apparently! Not sure who else I might have met. I was serving a Kellerbier from a Germany gravity keg and a Rauchdunkelweizenbock, if anyone tried either of those. I had a great time. Already looking forward to Nashville next summer.

I had another wonderful time at HomebrewCon 2019.

I had a chance to speak to Ron Pattinson (@patto1ro) again (it has been 5 years since we last had a face-to-face conversation) and as always it was a pleasure.

I also was able to chat with Stan Hieronymus again (it has been a few years) and we had a chance to share some of the homebrewed beers I brought (e.g., Tmavý Ležák (Czech Dark Lager), Spruce Ale,…). It is always great to catch up with him.

Dave (@telejunkie) and I were able to share some homebrewed beers while at the Fermentis hospitality event. Dave said to me: Jack, are you trying to get me drink? Well, what are friends for? Unfortunately I did not run into Dave at Club Night since I wanted him to see my Super Trooper costume (I was Rabbit). And I too thought the homebrewed beers were of very high quality; even better than the commercial beers from the Kickoff Party.

I was able to meet Jose Pizarro of Fermentis and speak face to face (only telephone and electronic prior) and he is a great guy. He gave an excellent presentation on W-34/70 which I enjoyed attending.

Also chatted again with John Palmer, Martin Brungard, Drew Beechum, and a slew of others.

I also got the opportunity to make some new friends including a happenchance get together with some guys from a homebrewing club close to me (Buzz in West Chester, PA) – my wife and I just happened to sit down at a table late in the evening of the Kickoff Party and they happened to be sitting there.

I am looking forward to HomebrewCon 2020 in Nashville.

    Cheers!

P.S. My apologies for forgetting to mention other names in the above post – it was a fun and whirlwind 3 days.

Doh! I spoke to Jeff (@hopfenunmaltz) a few times.

I will likely post other amendments as my brain 'kicks in'.:flushed:

    Cheers!

Club night was really good this year, they brought their A game. BJCP judges and other AHA GC members agreed on this.

I had some nice lagers. Two Rauchbiers were very good, and one guy malted, and kilned his own malt over beechwood.

There was a Kentucky Common that was one of the best beers of the night for me.

I had @Granitebeard 's Bayerish antisch beer. Sehr gut!

Saw a zillion people, new and old friends. Hello to all.

    Just getting back from Spain.

Was a blast seeing everyone and walking around and trying everything. Club night was the best. My first one and was such a whirlwind.
