Homebrew Funeral

    It is very funny that you bring that up, becasue I just had that problem, but now I plan on attempting to make it on a 5 gallon scale and seperating it into two 2.5 fermentors so I can screw around with different fruit and dry hopping combos. I also only do 1 gallon brews because I live in a little apartment at school and it is just fun for the weekends, plus you can make a fermentor out of a Carlo Rossi wine jug.

    I manned up and drank all of our Stressed-out-yeast Porter. Haven't done that again, now I pitch happy yeast only.

    Interesting...It was fresh ground coffee from my local coffee shop, but who knows how long the beans were sitting around before I purchased them I guess.

    I've dumped a few batches. If it doesn't taste right, I give it more time to see if off flavors clear up. If they get worse, I just pour it. I'm at a point where I share most of my homebrew, so I want to make sure that I don't share things that are not a good representation o my brewing. Earlier in my brewing, I would suffer through infected batches if they were remotely palatable.
