Grogtag makes some beautiful stuff but it isn't cheap.

I get them printed on regular printer paper at FedEx/Kinkos, cut them to size & stick them on the bottle with milk.

Awesome - thanks for the responses! I've been wanting to do something like what rodenbach does for caractere rouge. Anyone have a source for some cool looking hang tags? Plenty on amazon, but I haven't found anything 'cool' other than buying some plain ones and burning em and doing some sort of custom wax stamp on em with handwritten descriptions.

If you have a printer with the adjustable guide for envelopes and such, you should be able to use an Avery postcard or create a single photo, and insert your art work for it. Once you have done that just use the guide to print it on parchment, and then burn the edges some... I might just steal that idea by the way.

I like the look of this a lot. Simple, modern, easy. I think I might steal it for a project i Have coming up.

Very nice. What did you print these on? Did you have to cut them out individually?

I don't usually create labels for myself, but I work part time (1 day every week or so) at a Brew on Premise and I do all of their label design for anyone who wants labels. I always try to make a logo for them and help them with names.

I started making the labels 4" X 3.33" but on a 22 oz bottle (the bottle of choice there) it looked a little dinky. So I started doing 5" X 3.5" which looks a bit nicer. Thats why there are two different sizes on some of these.

I also made a few for a recent fundraiser.

And some generic ones for the Brew on Premise

Etc. Sorry to hijack the post with a ton of images, I just really enjoy sharing what I do. Working in corporate marketing can get pretty tiresome, I make labels as a way to relax. Let me know what you think.

Is this meant to wrap around the bottle completely? What is the size on this? I really dig the artwork. Did you draw the cow?

Nice job. Though I always recommend against using Papyrus (i'm a bit of a font snob) I think they look good. I'm especially a fan of the sour series.

You'd be surprised. When you do something all day its hard to get motivated to open the programs and do it at home.

Went to a craft store and got some high quality paper then went to Office Max next door and had them print them for me. It was only like 10 cents a sheet then 10 cents a copy so it wasn't bad. Took the idea from Dogfish. Love their label design and texture.
Although if I could do etching like Stone I would do that!

etching isn't hard to do at home but it is time consuming and I don't know how to do it easily on a mass scale.

Was there a template with that shape of paper? I usually use an avery sticker, I'm too lazy to cut out 52 labels.

Seems like it would be 10x the work. No I just cut them out individually while on Netflix. But after cutting around the top circle, next time I will make the label a rectangle. Too much time to do that again.

Thanks man! It wraps all the way around a bottle and yes i drew the cow. I am a graphic design student and this was my final senior project. Its 7 inches wide and 3 tall.
