Not sure if this is the right forum for this question but is anybody on here from the Nashville area?
I work in Nashville and live just north in White House. I'm a pretty new and inexperienced brewer but love it.
Pretty weak showing. I was hoping there would be a flood of people and then try to narrow it down to certain areas of town. This could be why we don't have a great selection of local breweries.
I've got some friends that brew in Nashville, but I live in Atlanta. Check out the Music City Brewers @ http://musiccitybrewers.com/. Bunch of cool dudes in that club. I go to their comp every year and it's one of my favorites.
I am a homebrewer in Nashville. I moved to an apt in the city, so I don't brew near as much as I used to, but I keep my equipment at another BAs house and we still brew about once a month or so. Is there something you are looking for?
Also, just to argue this comment, are you aware of the startups we have in process at this time? Its not that we dont have any local breweries, its just that Nashville was late to the scene... Coming soon- Broadcast, Fat Bottom, Nashvillion, Double Door, Cardinal, Turtle Anarchy (cool springs), Black Abbey... I am probably missing 1 or 2, but with the current operating local breweries, thats gonna flood our markets with some great stuff in the coming year!
The purpose of the OP was to see where in the city the homebrewers are then see if there were any groups in the Mt Juliet area. I would like to get involved in a HB club to get some feedback and learn from people instead of just reading about it. There was a post last week where someone asked everyone to list their top 5 beers from your state and it got me thinking we don't have a lot to choose from. I have heard about many of the startups coming which I'm excited about.
