When I brew the drill motor (for powering the mill), the bucket heater, and the pumps are on A Ground Fault outlet. Just good practice with liquids and electricity.

Frankly...I'm more than a little surprised you don't consider purchases of brewing paraphernalia as a 'home improvement.' :stuck_out_tongue:

I am in complete agreement with your position, but I was never able to convince my wife.

If you have interest in building a kegerator or keezer, most of the supplies can be purchased at a hardware store. Another angle to look at if you are thinking about kegging.

Code here is kitchens, bathrooms, and outdoor outlets have GFCI, not anywhere else. I've never seen one in a garage, for example. Don't ASSume!

I had my house built, and a GFCI was standard in the garage. It shouts be easy to see and determine if you have one.

Garage is nearly a universal requirement. Nevertheless, I told him how to verify, so I think I'm covered. ASSumpton-wise.

It sounds trivial, but don't cheap out on the spray bottle. A 50 cent spray bottle costs 50 cents for a reason. Granted, you can also get a piece of crap for $5, but, held side by side, it's not hard to tell the difference.

Amen, brother! I bought a cheap one the first time and it didn't last long at all. The second, a better quality spray bottle has lasted almost a year.
