HOMES Brewing (2020)

Breweries (in general) whom are selling tickets to buy their beer, wait in a line, or in this case VIP treatment is beyond disappointing. If they are going to do stuff like this they should at least take a portion off of what you purchase.

I remember when Boss Tweed was sold only at the brewery and you had to buy a ticket to then buy the beer. At $103.00 a case and an additional $5-10 per ticket it almost seemed criminal. You're paying a premium just to pay even more for the beer.

I understand the process to maybe keep lines at bay but some of this stuff is beyond excessive, and just a pure money grab.

 

They dropped it during the Winter Beer Fest the other day and the ratings are predictably goofy - off the charts.

I'm not one to pay $36 for 22oz, but the other three cans in Saturday's release sound amazing. Raspberry-Passionfruit is a great combo for their Cynosure series, the DIPA and IPA sound great.

Anyone who can comment on the release today?
Did BA stout make it to non-members?

 

Big line for sure. I arrived about 10am and got beers around 12:45. Doozie was 1pp at that point. Rumor was there were about 600 bottles. Word was only first 40-50 got 3pp, then 2pp for a bit. Would guess about 300 people in line. When I checked out, about 8 cases left and probably near that many people behind me. They did pretty well to manage allotments to get everyone some Doozie. Was unclear if non-members were at back of line, or just non-existent. Hops and sours allotments not reduced when I got in.

 

I’m not a regular for releases there, but at 6 packs pp still rocking at 1, I would think so.

 

They still had Phosphor when I was there around 7pm.

Anyone try the stout yet? I was working today so couldn't go.

 

Phosphor is a fantastic mosaic IPA, Surface one of my favorite DIPAs of theirs.

 

Just got a notification that my tickets for Nucleate have been refunded. I figured it would get cancelled and I guess that's my confirmation.

 

They announced it was cancelled a couple of days ago unfortunately.

 

Curious how they plan to get the bottles in attendees hands. It's much different coming in to town for a festival+bottle, but in buying those tickets, no one was expecting it to be solely a bottle pickup type of experience. Hopefully they can add a shipping option for some people, especially considering there aren't a lot of experiences to be had around town right now.
