While checking Social Media this morning, I came across a local brewery's page and was amazed at what I was reading. Picaroons (the brewery) is going to be giving each of their 30 staff members a chance to write a beer recipe and have it brewed (with the help of the founder/brewer Sean Dunbar and the head- brewers) to show their appreciation. The first release of the series is called Griff Pale Ale, named after their longest running staff member and brewer , Ryan "Griff" Griffith. Each beer will be released in limited quantities at their "Brewtique" in Downtown Fredericton, New Brunswick. Reading this really amazed me and made me realize that craft beer is about people just as much as it is about the beer. On that note, is there anything amazing that your local brewery has done that you would like to brag up?! I'd love to hear about it.
Kichesippi in Ottawa is doing the same thing. 'Kich Staff Picks' is currently on it's second run of one-offs designed and dedicated to brewery employees. http://www.beeradvocate.com/beer/profile/2416/149370/ http://www.beeradvocate.com/beer/profile/2416/158799/
