Hometown LIF

    I've been on this site for 6 months now and I've had a blast- now I want to create my first LIF.

    Whenever I tell people the town I grew up in they often get it mixed up with a more commonly known town in a different state. This town is also associated with the brewery that just happened to turn me on to craft beer.

    The first person to guess:
    1. My hometown
    2. The name of the brewery
    3. The first beer I had from that brewery
    Wins the LIF

    In honor of Jack's Abby (one of my favorite local breweries) recently celebrating their first anniversary I would love to send the winner a mixed package of 3-4 Jack's Abby beers. This LIF is only open to people who have never had Jack's Abby and do not live in MA.

    Winner must agree to share with one other person. I will give hints as the LIF goes on. One guess/person until another hint is given.

    Just to clarify: The brewery I'm looking for is not in the town I grew up in, but is in a town in a different state that happens to have the same name. The actual brewery isn't in the town, it's actually a couple towns over, but they are commonly known for being in that town (most people on this site would probably associate the town right away with the brewery). This is the first hint.

    Thanks! I'm trying to make it run smoothly. I apologize if I'm a little bit confusing in my wording, I think it will make more sense when I give out more hints and when it's finally guessed!

    I'll give one more hint today before I hit the hay tonight-
    There's been a lot of guesses for Portland, ME- it is not Portland. If you've ever visited the brewery you most likely have also been in this town. The brewery itself is located 1-2 towns over (I forget exactly), however the town does have something you would have visited if you visited the brewery (something important to it, on their website it lists this town as one of the two contact locations- I will release another hint tomorrow if still no one gets it). It is not as hard to guess as it seems.
