I am heading to Hong Kong for a week. I did see a post further down about there, just seeing if anyone has anything new to add? Must see beer places? Bottle shops?

    Cheers!

Not a lot of places in Hong Kong. But if you know the right places, you'll not be forced to drink the local Carlsberg and San Miguel. Get any help? Find any spots?

Here is a good resource for what's happening in Hong Kong. 11 New Breweries in the last two years: http://suds.cc/cD2c

Very useful, @CraftBeerAsia, thanks. I'm heading to HK next month, so I'd like to bump this sliiiiiightly out of date thread. My worker there tells me that craft is cropping up all over the place (but he confesses that he's not too familiar with the particulars, so I should research elsewhere). So, I welcome advice on what I should be looking for. (I'll search around elsewhere, too, to be sure.) I can start a new thread but let's get this one up to the top of the screen first.

The last time I was in HK was late 2015, so my info may be a little outdated.

There's a bottle shop in Tsim Sha Tsui (Kowloon) called Craftissimo. Having traveled through other countries in Asia, I was pleasantly surprised by their selection. It's very close to the promenade, so you can grab a bottle and drink it out there while admiring the HK skyline. There are no open bottle laws in HK, but check with the shop to make sure this hasn't changed.

There's also a restaurant called Roundhouse in the Central District (HK island) that had a bunch of craft brews on tap. I didn't try their food but they serve BBQ.

My best advice would be to look up places on Foursquare using keyword search "craft beer." Keep in mind that if you search using the app, it may only provide results that are in immediate proximity. So search using their site with your location set as Hong Kong and it'll list places through the city.
