Hoof Hearted

People have been there as early as 9am I believe. But in normal circumstances, if you are there by 11 or so you will be fine. Last weekend it cleared out fairly quick and they didn't run out of anything.

 

Dragonsaddle was the crazy exception to every other Hoof release I've been to. If you get there by 11AM or later you will be plenty fine.

 

Anyone have any insight if they sold out and/or expect to sell out of KD within the next couple hours?

Anyone heard when and what next canning is?

 

Real busy today... I somehow ended up with the last two group saxx bottles at like 12:30, went very quick. They had a ton of konkey though... Hopefully everyone who came out got some!

 

Missed out on bottles, got a case of KD though.

Ending up buying a bottle second hand to keep the lady happy.

 

I should probably preface this by saying that I love Hoof and will continue supporting what they are doing...but KD is a completely different beer from when they canned it last time. It reminded me more of Everybody Wants Some than the last canning of KD.

 

I was actually thinking the same thing but I was chalking it up to I drank everybody wants some before hand...

 

I thought it tasted the same as the first canning run. Wayyy more citrus and less bitterness than Everybody Wants Some. I plan on having them side by side this week, but I don't think my opinion will change.

 

I had a friend tell me the exact same thing. From what he described, it almost sounds like the beer is too young. I only have 4-cans, but I am going to wait a week before I try one to allow further conditioning.

 

In two weeks, Everybody wants some Equinox.

 

Yeah, we split one when we got back into Cleveland and he texted you to see if you had any opinions on it. We were both interested to hear your take on it. I'll be interested to see what happens with it over the next week or so.

 

Looks like Hoofy is going to be brewing a collaboration with Jackie O's! An imperial coffee stout to be brewed and canned in Marengo. Should be pretty dope.

What's the best place to find Hoof Hearted cans after the brewery release on Sunday? (Assuming they don't sell out.) How far into the week do the cans typically last? Thanks for the info!

 

they sold out by 3pm... Weilands, Afiicionados, Giant Eagle Grandview are the best bets.

 

Sorry if this info is already in this thread but do any Hoof Hearted cans show up in the Cincinnati area? I'll be visiting at the end of the year and would like to scoop some up if possible. Thanks!
