Blabe is delicious, their recipes could use some tweaking though. Very promising brewery and a unique location in Marengo; can't remember who called it Hillbilly Farmstead, but that's perfect.

I am not proud of it. Been trying to trade for it this week to no avail.

Roller Blabe is awesome. DEFINITELY reminds me of those east coast fruity IPAs, which I love. South of Eleven is solid, too. Minotaur was just eh. Though I think that was the oldest of the three for which I traded, so I'd give it another go.

Have had them all fresh (within a few days of canning) and agree with your ranking, personally.

I agree. The second to last batch of Musk was opaque, hazy and juicy - had it all over Treehouse. This batch was very good, but it was clear and had more of the bitter tartness of a west coast ipa. Blabe was outstanding and S11 was very good (I missed the first go-round). Going to crack my Kong tonight.

I had both Musk of Minotaur and South of 11 on tap back in June and really enjoyed both of them. These cans of Konkey Dong are unreal.

We really have a lot of great IPAs coming out of OH between Fat Heads, CBC, Brew Kettle, and Hoof Hearted. Like someone else mentioned, I have really cut back on trading recently because how many great beers are in our backyard. I'm hoping to get some Roller Blabe cans in a couple weeks.

New batch of Konkey Dong used Conan, which it hasn't before. Before that it was a pretty 'meh' DIPA, now i like it more than Blabe. Let me know if you want a can or 2.

Edit: just saw Daniel answer above, offer still stands if you want a couple cans though!

If any of you gents stocked up on Konkey Dong, and are looking to try some NYC stuff let me know. I posted on the IP forum, and have a lot more to offer than just what is listed. Hit me with a PM if you are interested. Would love to give this stuff a go, but not sure I will be able to drive to Cbus just for a draft or two.

You really have to question the mentality of someone who names their brewery Hoof Hearted. It wouldn't surprise me if they named one of their beers "Pull My Finger".

Honestly, they can name the brewery and their beers whatever the hell they want so long as the beers continue to be this amazing quality or better. I actually love that they don't take themselves too seriously in that regard. Save fancy names for the wine snobs. This is supposed to be a fun hobby and as juvenile as it may be, I still find farts to be funny. My biggest concern is that no one has yet to fess up to the age old question...who, in fact, did fart?

I love that ppl are bothered by the name. They're not selling Life Insurance. Hoof Hearted Insurance-We're always lingering there with you.

They've done there job with the name. You're talking about them. Making great beers is what I'm concerned about.

I'm not attacking anyone but I think it's funny that it does really irk some ppl. probably sole purpose of the name.

The wife and I have had a great time at both of the canning parties that we went to. Fruit Saxx was amazing last weekend! Probably should be a one case limit. I can't wait until they open the Italian Village location, they are going to take so much of my money.

I still need to get down there. Haven't had the pleasure of trying blabe yet and konkey dong I only had a small sample of at fat heads. Would love to have a full glass of it.

I'm curious if canning events will remain at the barn once the brew pub is up and running. The business savy person would have it at the brew pub where they spend more on food and drinks.

The barn sounds like a more appropriate venue for a Hoof Hearted canning event.

I haven't had enough of their beer to give an opinion one way or another, but I had to Google the name to get the "joke". I like dick and fart gags as much as the next guy but I refer to them simply as "Hoof", as the full name just sounds stupid to me. Most important is what is in the can though.

Yeah, I really hope they keep the barn going strong... It is already a 1hr 40min drive for me, I don't want to have to drive 2hrs or more to get their stuff. If it went to the new location only it would probably become a far less frequent visit for me.

TROLLOLOLOL. What do you think about their beers?

I've only had the cans, but they have been fantastic.

They don't ship beer here and I don't trade anymore, so I have no opinion.

Apparently, they make beer that looks like gravy and tastes like juice and this type of beer has a cult following right now. However, this isn't something I seek in a hop forward beer.
