They have some pretty awesome releases going on during CBW that I would love to get a few bottles of but not sure if I want to make an already long drive another 30 mins further each way from CLE.

EWSVS cans to be available at the brewpub tonight. I really hope this becomes a trend, as I live like 10 mins from the brewpub.

I second this, in addition to the heavy use of whirlpool hopping. Without boiling, many of the hop oils aren't volatilized and remain in the finished wort. Some people are sensitive to it--some by taste, and for others it can cause heartburn (me, at times). The oils will naturally dissipate in time, but drinking a beer fresh out of the serving / bottling tank with lots of essential oils may cause a harsh taste / feeling. It's (presumably) finished, but its freshness may necessarily cause its harshness.

Still, though, dem HH hops is like dayum.

In regard to less demand for hh beer, anyone else think it could have to do with the lowered allocation?

24 down to 12 is big loss, and maybe a lot less folks are willing.

Just spit balling, but being from MI I seriously considered the trip after having EWS Nelson...at least I did until the limit got lowered. Damn that beer was amazing last year.

That could be part of it, but I think it's more that they've basically been doing the same style (cloudy fruity ipas) with minor variations every release for a while now and their novelty is starting to wear off. I'm a big fan of this style, but even I am starting to lose interest. Hopefully the new Jackie O's collaboration stout reignites interest and their beers start getting more stylistically varied.

I've always thought you could say the same thing about Trillium. Many very similar beers, but all very good.

I wish I had the same endless juicy ipa availability "problem" but then again the grass is always greener...

No seriously the grass is as green as possible in Boston...if Trillium was in my backyard I'd be their once a week, minimum. And IPA isn't even close to being my favorite style.

Brilliant name for a beer. Are there bullets in the label. Sorry but you can only push the envelope so far.

No release info on Facebook. I haven't seen a Facebook event for a release show up any later than Monday. I assume the next will be on Sunday 5/1.

When I was there for Vic Secret release, I was told the next would be three weeks out and that would be the JO's Collab release.

Well that excites me. I'll be going through that Sunday so I'll have to get a ticket. I am hoping the stout is a great base beer with the coffee. Jackie o definitely knows how to make stouts. I have told a couple people, I think they are the best stout brewery out there!

Unless I heard wrong when talking to the Hoof guys, Jackie-O's actually brewed the beer. So I would assume JO would can and both would release as they wish? Wonder how it would work out.

Brewed in Marengo with Brad. HH will can and JO will get kegs.

Well if it is anything like coffee and vanilla bean dark apparition, I'll for sure like it a lot!
