FWIW, South of Eleven was canned on 6/8.

 

I wish dragon saddle was soon! That's my next release I'll be going to. If anyone has ideas about when that bad boy is dropping, I would appreciate it! Wish I could go to roller blabe next weekend but I don't think I can. That beer turned out quite great after a couple weeks.

 

Another great day for a share and release.

Only downside was line cutting for growlers by a couple dbags. It wasn't a huge deal as we were all getting some.
But I made an effort to be early so I could leave immediately after 12. Some people have 0 class.

 

There couldn't have been that many. My one buddy was annoyed by it but I didn't think it was that big of a deal. I thought it was very laid back compared to the other couple releases I've been to.

 

Yeah, not many at all. Didn't see a point in cutting. There was enough for everyone. But dicks gotta dick I suppose.

 

****zing Out in the Basement IPL is a brewpub release next week. Details on date/time are TBA. Of note- this is the first 12oz release in a while.

 

I was annoyed, but to be fair, there wasn't really a line, just a mob of people milling about before it opened. Of course the people I was annoyed about showed up 10 or 15 minutes before noon, and just stood right at the front without a care in the world.

Oh well, the line still moved quick. I just get annoyed easily.

Good beer though!

 

I'm crossing my fingers that they will cave and move it to Saturday. Would love to stock up on Blabe especially with an OBX trip coming up but having it on Fathers Day makes it a no-go for me.

 

Totally fair to be annoyed. Next time I'm there (and I've been very early each time to enjoy the share) I'll be sure to ask about pulling the rope tighter or maybe asking Megan about policing the cutters (which she'd likely do anyway).

 

Hoof should use order cards like Tree House does and issue them as people arrive. It's so incredibly efficient and keeps anyone from cutting in line.

 

Sorry I haven't scrolled through all 39 pages as this might have already been answered...but I will be rolling through to the brewpub and probably having a beer or two on a business trip this Thursday. Not expecting bottles/cans, but do they do growler fills of all of their drafts? Also, is there a limit on growlers? Looking to bring some home for a few friends. Also, can I bring my own growler, or do they need to be purchased at the pub?

You can take your own growler. I believe they sell growlers of anything on tap. The only thing you should be aware of is they are pretty expensive. I'm pretty sure a growler of Konkey Dong was $22-ish a while back.

 

Bringing your own growler is fine. Not sure on a growler limit though. List of available fills will be at their brewpub website.

 

I was just there last weekend and filled 6-7 growlers. The bartender said there was no limit. Check your fill levels though. I got home and found out that every single one of them was 2-4 inches short of a full fill. I assumed they were at least capped on foam and the foam went down. Nope. Opened a growler Monday and there was no sound when I cracked it and it was completely flat. Seems ridiculous that they wouldn't train the bartenders how to purposely fill a growler.

 

Blabe is sold out.

Also, looks like they are brewing Konkey next week and will be canned and released 3-4 weeks later (mid-July)

Thanks for the heads up. Maybe it was the bartender, but my fill levels were all just fine. Will be cracking into a few of these tonight for science. That Wet When Slippery was my favorite out of the flight +1 that I had yesterday. Just an awesome DIPA.

 

Any indication today when konkey dong will be released again?

 

Anyone hear about the next EWS variety? This Blabe is different, but the best I've had. No yeast bite and ready to drink today.
