Hoof Hearted

Pretty sure it's Calypso. Also, Hoof has been canning sooner than same-day (Blabe was canned a few days ago for this release) which is partially the reason why the yeast bite is less.

Konkey was supposedly brewed this week with release in 3-4 weeks.

 

I think I overheard one of the bartenders tell someone EWS is next, off the 3rd, then the hoorchata beer, then jucuzzirooni.

 

Will try to go to Konkey dong. I hope it's after July 18th!

 

I didn't get it down to Blabe although I had a ticket (which also is becoming a PITA as I have to buy a ticket and plans change). I am getting sick of buying a ticket and being out $6 each time I don't go, haha. Oh well.

I am pretty sure I will be at the Hoorchata release and Konkey for sure.

 

You really should make a post on here that you have a ticket available and transfer it to someone that can go, or maybe you already thought of that

 

I made a post on FB (Cleveland/Ohio Beer Groups) that I had an extra ticket and offered to friends (who already had them). So I did try to pass it along... Just no bites.

 

I would have def posted on the hoof event page. I always see people on their asking for tickets too.

 

EWS Idaho 7 is the next variety for this Sunday. From what I can find, peach/tangerine/dank are the main flavors. The flavor is pretty complex and most homebrewers seem to think it would be difficult to blend with other hop varieties.

 

I just had this Friday night at the brewpub. It is DANK in both flavor and aroma. Probably the most "herbal" beer I've ever had and it was quite enjoyable.

Anyone going to the brewpub tomorrow for the IPL? Haven't seen much buzz for it. I don't think I care to stand in line for this one... Might arrive in the afternoon and see what happens.

 

I'll probably come by later, fan of the IPL style. And to snag another Wet When Slippery growler, awesome stuff.

 

Still had cans left as of 5:15pm Saturday. Doesn't look like it was flying out of the brewpub. Don't believe some of those 4/5* untappd reviews. It's very "eh". I can't say I'm super educated in the IPL style, though.

 

The nose is tangerine/pine. Taste is dank/pine. I've had EWS Citra/VS/Idaho 7... Citra was the best, but this isn't far behind.

One of the bartenders mentioned the schedule-- Burial Brewing Horchata Collab for 7/10, Jacoozeroski for 7/17, and *maybe* Konkey Dong for 7/24.

 

If Konkey is the 24th, I'll be there. Following the treehouse 4th anniversary party thread, I really want a good, flavorful IPA. Never having Konkey, it is probably in my top 5 of beers I want to try. Glad to hear the Idaho EWS is great!

 

Hopefully the Burial Collaboration happens on 7/10. I'll actually be passing by Morengo on my way home from a race at Mid-Ohio. Sounds like a good opportunity to load up and grab a couple growlers at the brewery.

Fortunately, I've been able to try Konkey Dong, South of Eleven, and Rollerblabe.

Konkey looks to be 7/17 from one of the Hoof people on Facebook. Disappointing, as I'll be on vacation. Have fun, ya'll.
