Hop Absorption – Wort or Water

    So I did a wet hop brew yesterday. I’ve found than wet hops despite containing a higher amount of water verses dried, still absorption. Do hops absorption mixture / wort (water & sugar) or just water? In other words, for your heavily hopped brews, is your recipe adjustment both more grains and water or just more water? From results yesterday, it seems to be the latter.

    Hops absorb/trap wort, including its sugars.

    Trap is a good word to use here. 'Absorb' taken to literally is a problem.
