Green Moss up next, but looks like they won't can until 1/7/20.

 

Agreed. Never brag about snagging 2 4pks of DBO to then have the relatives wipe you out of one of those 4pks.

 

Only one release, so I imagine there will be a lot of this out there.

 

Recommend drinking any DBO’s you have left. Vanilla is taking over.

 

Green Moss is a damn fine brew.

 

Just nabbed some, cracking a can this evening and will report back

At what point do they need to start including ‘contains lactose’ on the label. Green Moss the taste is very noticeable.

 

Considering you can get away with completely misstating your ABV in some states, I’m not sure if they’ll have to. (Yes, I realize lactose and the repercussions of that are probably worse, but it’s a 450N joke I couldn’t pass up.)

 

Sadly this is one of the things that has made me stop purchasing HB stuff consistently like I used to (that and that I'm not in a hazy phase right now); I'm just really tired of the sweet, lactose-y taste most of their beers have. Not a criticism, just something I've gotten sick of.

(otherwise I'd be all over Lord Octopus which 1) looks awesome and 2) has a great single-hop)

 

Anyone try Lord Octupus? Love mosaic but the looming lactose has me hesitant to commit to a 4 pack.

 

It’s outstanding if you like mosaic.

 

Get it. It’s huge body, but there is a nice little sharp darkness on the finish that keeps it from crossing the line. Its a much thicker beer the NvU vs Haze but I drew some similarities between the mosaic used in each beer.

 

Naperville Binny’s still has a couple cases of Lord Octopus up front, and a few four packs of Green Moss towards the back of the store by the glasses.

 

Spot on. Glad I didn't pass on this one. Great brew.
