What is fresh coconut skin? Besides the husk and shell, it’s all the same on the inside. Right? I mean, if this hop is suppose to taste like “coconut” shouldn’t it be suited towards milkshake ipas or pastry stouts and not everyday ipas? Sucks that it’s a bandwagon hop now.

I'm talking you taste the fibrous outside and all. Imagine if you could take a bite out of a coconut. That's what I get from Sabro heavy beers.

I like Sabro, it gets old quick for me. I just finished a 4-pack of Drippin So Much Sauce and I'm halfway through a 4-pack of More Elixir Fields. Both really good beers, but by the time I'm done, I'll be OK if I never taste Sabro hops again for 6 months.

I have. Plenty of times. Still don’t get the Sabro correlation. (Shrug emoji)

Agreed, Sabro tastes more like ass than coconuts.

Have you thought about having a palate cleanser between beer and whatever you were doing prior?

Man, so much hate for Sabro. Differing palates and all, but Maplewood's Sabro Transit Authority was my favorite IPA (old or new) in the past few months.

Getting back to HB, is anyone else picking up a "sweaty feet" aroma in this batch of Dun Dun Dun? I sometimes get this with beers that feature Amarillo hops but hadn't experienced it in previous batches. Oddly enough, the taste is pretty good, and it seems like HB dialed back the sweetness a bit, but holy cow it is off-the-charts pungent.

It's not about Dun Dun Dun in particular but I find myself buying a lot less Hop Blucher as of late. They used to be my favorite "trendy" brewery in the city and I was picking up a lot of their releases.

I'm not sure if my palate has changed or if it's something else, but I'm really not digging what I have picked up from them lately. Rip Rap was the latest and I just did not care for it. Not sure if others feel this way but Phase Three has become my go to and I almost never buy Hop Butcher.

Felt the same about Maplewood STA. Tasted like straight candy (in a good way, imo).

I’m the opposite. I’ve liked a lot of what HB has done lately, and haven’t been impressed by anything hoppy from phase three in almost half a year.

So grabbed the glass this week. Wife was like “Oh! I like this one! They finally made a Tiffany’s color!”

    I’ll take it I guess

Emits Showers of Sparks is one of my favorite IPAs HB has put out. I like beers that don’t necessarily show their cards. You’d never guess these three hops were being used. But the combo of these hops is a pretty beautiful combination. Fantastic beer here

Snorkel Squad was excellent. Has it been a year since it last came out?

Emits Sparks needs some dankness or citra or something to give it a bitter dimension. To me it comes off as pure sweet fruit.

Torchberry sounds like it could be good. I'm touch and go on milkshakes lately. Hop Butcher BO seems like the only one that's a sure thing 'hit' that I'll always buy a 4 pack of.

I know this is a Hop Butcher thread but the last milkshake style I had was P3 starwberry chantilly and it was straight amoxicillin flavor which was weird b/c the last time I had it in the fall was amazing. I've very caveat emptor when it comes to milkshakes.
