Well shit. I opted for Stone assuming Live was hazy as well (didn’t want both and this is the first time I’ve seen a HB triple on the shelf). Had I not picked up another pack of NvU Cryo, I wonder if I’d regret that decision.

Portage Park Binny’s had 4 packs as of 5pm. Probably doesn’t mean much at this point.

No caramel. It’s very grapefruit/tropical nose and initial flavor. Finished dry and piney. It’s far too pale to say caramel. Think malt character similar to Bodem but slightly less creamy and a slightly drier finish

I know what guyfawkes is getting at but it’s not caramel like classic ipas ex:Union Jack / Torpedo / Two Hearted
its very new school west coast, like Your Wish Is Granted

Since we're all disagreeing, can we re-open the discussion about tacos? Specifically price-related, and how our "secret" spots are better than everywhere else.

I'm fairly confident I would win all arguments then

Just grabbed 4 packs of each at Binny's in Mokena if people are looking. Was in back so I don't know how much is left.

*Edit: Also had a good amount of Tavern Cut on the shelf of people are still looking.

Didn't realize they put out a west coast IPA this week. Ever since I was in California last fall and had Pliny again I've been hoovering up west coats IPAs.

They're hinting in the comments on social media that Swans of Lir will be back for St. Patrick's Day.

I thought Beef Dipped was just OK last year...this new batch is much improved. It's fruitier & creamier...methinks the anti-lactose crew might want to sit this out, though.

What flavors are you getting? An all simcoe beer scares me...

Mango & banana flavors up front; orange citrus & mild wheat notes on the finish. Mouthfeel had that lactose creaminess without feeling heavy.

    If I remember, you're a Bottles & Cans shopper...it's certainly worth grabbing a single.

Check out their Instagram post from a few days ago. It’s a hand selected pick of simcoe. I’ve realized simcoe seems to be an ever evolving hop over the last 3 or 5 years. They provide some insight into that. It’s “not your fathers“ simcoe anymore.

I actually really liked Beef Dipped last time around and generally dislike the heavy lactose taste. I have too much beer now to justify picking this up though.
