I rarely buy HB anymore, but I picked up a pack of Choice Stock last week based on @beardown2489’s recommendation above. Finished my last can this evening and completely agree with his (I assumed his?) remarks. It might be one of my favorite beers I’ve had from them. Glad I grabbed one.

This batch of Normalize is good. Probably the one beer I'm okay with Sabro being in as it isn't a dominant flavor.

Drinking one now and it is really good. The sabro plays a supporting role here and it's well done.

Seriously, this. Opened Lord Octopus 3 days post-canning last week and was very underwhelmed. Today, at 10 days post-canning, it tasted like a totally different beer and I really loved it. Great balance between tropical fruit, berries, and pine and a lot less immediate sweetness.

It took the 1st batch of Telehopic like 4-6 weeks to be drinkable and then it became extremely good

I usually have a can when it’s super fresh and then I wait a week/week and a half to crack the remaining 3 cans. That’s been the formula since I’ve started drinking HB because of how green they are when purchased

Resetting my cadence of Hop Butcher consumption is one perk of dry January for me. Buying this weeks releases to consume in 2 weeks, next weeks releases in 3 weeks, and so forth.

Paired goodness coming at you next week in the form of a newbie (Newfallen) and an old favorite (Double Grid). You know the drill on Double Grid. Here's the lowdown from our brewers on Newfallen:

Lighter and slightly more crisp than our mainline IPA haze, but hazy and juicy nonetheless. Old school hoppy pine layered on top of new school mango. Made for drinking at a snowy cabin much like the one in the label.

I'm liking this Double Saaz Pilsner. Nice crisp pilsner with some citrusy lemon notes.

That and Cold Pizza are pretty good. Nice change of pace to the usual carbonated OJ hazy doubles.

I picked up Newfallen hoping it’s worth it I’ve had buyer’s remorse on my last few HB purchases

One of the driving factors is that I actually recognized the hops named on the can

Newfallen is right up my alley. This reminds me of the Perrenial collab a little bit. Not quite as full bodied, the sweetness is dialed back, and it’s using classic hops

I am drinking now and I like it. I think I like Hop Butcher, but not the newer hop varieties they tend to use, like Sabro

When did jplachy become head of the HB fan club? I haven’t seen this many banger reviews since Irish Sausage Brewing shutdown.

run to daylight is really good, great mouthfeel with some juicy melon notes that i'm really into. incredibly dangerous juice bomb at 10.5%.

that being said, i'm fairly positive there is lactose in this. could be wrong but there appeared to be lactose sediment and i had the shits this morning.
