A lot of us should be admitting that

As a follow up, the final can I had in the fridge exhibited much of what people are disappointed with here. It was full on dank and onion with very little of the tropical fruit nose and flavor I tasted with the first few cans. Very strange indeed.

I just had my first experience with Hope Delusion last night (canned 4/29) and I really enjoyed it. There were some similiarities to Enjoy by as other posters have mentioned but I definitely would not say it is a true West Coast DIPA. Very well balanced beer though and I look forward to finishing the 4 pack.

Still looking for this one, but the reviews seem to be mixed. My guess is that the tropical notes fade quickly and turn into onion/dank. When I do find it, I'll be looking for the canning date.

Had some at Wursfest Beer Fest & it was phenomenal.

The onion/bleah taste diiffers from can to can. I had two last night. The first had better hop flavors. The second overwhelmingly bleah. Same 4 pack. All from the same case, same shipment, same date (Specs downtown).

I'm jumping on the onion/chive/garlic boat. The 4-pack I had was not enjoyable. I couldn't get past that flavor, and it wasn't working well with the malt backing. I remember having it on cast during Flix's Firkin Fest and it was much better.

When a brewery puts out crappy beer because they screwed up, you say so. It's not about palate, it's about poor quality control. Hop Delusion on draft is probably just fine. This canned batch is acrid and inconsistent. There is something very wrong with the beer. Buffalo Bayou has the same problems with More Cowbell. Crappy tasting canned batches.
Too many nitwits out there are kissing these Brewers asses, stroking their egos, and telling them their shit don't stink in order to get access to the latest and greatest. Local brewers are competing against every other brewer in the world. If they put out a substandard product, they don't need to remain in business. It will be a long time before I buy anything from Karbach. Eric Warner seems to have forgotten how to brew a decent DIPA.

I haven't had a bad more cowbell since the first batch. I guess you don't remember the whole reindeer tears thing. That's ok.

Of the two 4 packs I have purchased, there has been one green oniony tasting can in each. Weird.

I missed those big juicy Mosaic hops. Still not bad though.

I'm on my second 4pk and I've not encountered any off flavors. It ain't Heady but it's pretty darn good. I'll buy a 3rd fo sure.

I got more of the onion thing from ABW HM DIPA, yet I still love that beer. To me, HD is somewhere between Enjoy By And Hoptimum

Does anyone know how long they are canning this?

I had another of these last night...

I think it might be worth some of you checking the temps on your refrigerators.... Yesterday my fridge was working pretty hard (actually frozen some stuff on the upper shelves) as it was loaded up from the weekend... anyway, when I poured a beer into a glass it was uber cold and I got some of the dank, oniony smells that others are referencing.... didn't last long though, as soon as the beer warmed up a bit it went away, back to the nice tropical aromas I'm used to...

or maybe reading this thread has just been influencing my perception of this beer...

I got into another 4pk last night. Really enjoying this beer. That said, it's not super aromatic.

Had this for the first time today and must say was disappointed. For readily available TX DIPA's, I still prefer Rodeo Clown or Saint Arnold's Endeavor.

I can't remember the last time I had Endeavor. Are they dating the bottles yet? Are we ever getting six packs? I never saw either so I stopped looking.

Like all Saint Arnold's it has a bottled on date. Has since it was released. It has been in four packs for a while as well.
