Multiple weeks at best, not available anywhere in the Piedmont. Demand is nuts and they're containing it to Charlotte, at least Bestways won't have any for awhile. Expanding capacity. I'd call the brewery, but it they're halting production while they expand and figure out distro it might be rough.

Salud in CLT got 10 cases today.

I was at NoDa last Tuesday and they were out of cans. I asked when they canned and they replied, yesterday.

They're not halting production anytime soon, as they haven't even announced a new location yet. Furthermore, they will probably continue brewing at the current location before the second one is going (and perhaps they'll even have both operating concurrently, as Birdsong has mentioned doing with their second location for a while).

Salud has been my best bet in Charlotte, Winston hasn't gotten any in about two months.

If you can get to the brewery and they have it, they have been limiting (2) 4-packs for the last couple of tines I have been there and still selling out super quickly.

If your buddy is driving down I77 tell him to come see us at the Davidson Beverage Company. We always have Hop Drop cans in stock (we've only run out once and that was months ago) in addition to Wicked Weed and other NC goodies. We are off I77 at exit 30 on S. Main Street in Davidson.

    Cheers!

Wow. I figured you could walk into the brewery and purchase a case no problem.

Think Charlie from Davidson Beer Company opened up a can of worms. Never sold out before but once? Probably will be sold out from now on, just like everybody else. Not a bad thing! Cheers.

That beer is awesome .. world class

You can most always get it at the brewery. The "problem" is the the majority of CLT population has to go out of their way to get to the NoDa neighborhood. It takes me a good 30 minutes to get to the brewery going against traffic. It is sold in many retail stores in the CLT area but it is hit or miss when they have it. I have 5-6 places within a couple miles of work that carry it, just don't wait until Friday night at 5 to pick it up or you might be stopping in at all 5-6 places (been there, done that).

We get our delivery on thursday and sell out before the next thursday about half of the time, which insures a super fresh stack of beer at all times. Nothin beats A fresh HDR.

HDR aside, Brawley's kicks ass so you should check them out regardless. It's almost always my first stop when coming up to visit family!

Oh, I remember the good old days of HD'nR. The place that I know best (in the Triad) would sell 40 cases in just under 3 weeks. 40 cases now would be gone 2-3 days. These guys have "crafted" a beer with power and grace, and people get it.

Yeah its crazy, pretty much any retailer that I visit that gets HDR the cans are sweating because they are still cold from the brewery; and its always sold out before the last can gets warm.

NoDa is dating cans now as well, I have been yet to see an 'old' can of HDR.

I haven't seen HDR in quite a while, if it's in stock you have about 2 hours to find it, then it's gone.

I was in a store about a week ago and saw a 70ish looking year old woman come in and ask for a case of HDR. When that happens, you know you've made it.

I picture some kid across the country pleading with their grandmother to get them some Hop Drop 'n Roll. :stuck_out_tongue:

Ha! That didn't even occur to me but you are probably right. All I know is this beer has officially crossed over from a local beer geek favorite to a beer that everyone wants to get their hands on. While it sucks I can't just walk into a store and get it any time I want it, it is awesome for a beer brewed in Charlotte to be in the company of things like Heady Topper, Pliny the Elder and Jai Alai.
